DAV: FULFILLING OUR PROMISES TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED

Clyde Seiler Chapter 21 was chartered in Aurora, CO in 1973. The Chapter was named in honor of Major Clyde Seiler a member of the Colorado National Guard who was killed in action on March 27, 1969 when the F-100 aircraft he was piloting was shot down over Vietnam.

The Chapter operated at various locations in Aurora until 1993 when the Chapter purchased the current site at 8720 E Colfax Ave., Denver, CO. In February 2011 a fire seriously damaged the building; however, after extensive repairs and remodeling we rededicated the building in January 2012 enabling us to continue our support of DAV's mission of assisting disabled veterans and their families. The Chapter's membership is approximately 1,800 and the Chapter is supported by an active Auxiliary Unit.

Chapter 21 is an active organization with many members supporting their time and efforts toward veterans activities throughout the Denver metro area. The Chapter is the third largest in state and has donated thousands of dollars to veterans and civic causes. The Chapter co-hosts the hospitality room at the annual Department Convention and has had members serving in Department positions including Commander. We host an annual Chapter picnic and Christmas parties for children and adults and the Chapter and Auxiliary support numerous programs either individually or jointly which benefit veterans.

Individuals should contact the Chapter office between 12 noon and 4:00 pm weekdays to learn more about Chapter 21.
