We want to remind you of the Unaccompanied Burial Service @ Barrancas National Cemetery on October 31st @ 0800. It will be @ committal shelter "A" in the area that used to be called Barrancas Annex. It is a ceremony that honors all Veterans that have been interred @ Barrancas National Cemetery for the previous 90 days without family, friends, comrades-in-arms, neighbors, co-workers, etc...to attend their burial. It is a solemn ceremony in which their name, rank, branch of service, and time of service is recognized to all who attend; as well as the full honor guard, rifle ceremony, and flag folding performed for them as a group. It is very humbling to know that no-one who knew them was there; but the great staff @ Barrancas has worked to allow us to stand in the families stead so that we can honor the pledge of "no servicemember left behind, no-one forgotten". Please come and honor our brothers and sisters-in-arms next Thursday @ 0800.
