Thank you to those who attended the Unaccompanied Burial Service @ Barrancas National Cemetery on October 31st! It was a very solemn service with over 40 names read. These are Veterans whom were buried during the previous 90 days without anyone that they knew attending their internment. There were servicemembers from WWII to the Persian Gulf War whose names were read aloud, many from the Vietnam War. During this time of future family get-togethers, many Veterans take their own lives- known as the 22-a-day. It is hard to celebrate when you feel invisible or can't interact well with others. If you know of someone who needs help, please step in- if you are the one who needs help...please speak out! There is another way!!!
