There will be a planned Unaccompanied burial service at Barrancas National Cemetery Naval Air Station Pensacola on Thursday Jan 27th @ 0800. This is a service to honor, respect, and remember those veterans or active duty servicemembers who were interred at Barrancas without the benefit of family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers there at internment within the last 90 days. The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes & ends with the military gun salute & folding of the flag. It is important to remember that we never leave one of our own behind, that this could be one of us at any time, and that especially these last 2 years of the pandemic that there might not be anyone to remember our veterans who have passed except us! Please try to come through the gate before 0745- as colors will start around 0800 & that you need driving time and parking space! Please also wear your military affiliation & organization caps if you have any! Spouses & family are welcome and encouraged also!!!
