This December is a time to honor & cherish those that we have, as well as remember those that we have lost. There has been a lot of loss these past few years. Some have lost more than others; but that doesn't lessen the pain for any in our community & the communities that surround us! We should be mindful that in this time of giving and celebration, some many find it difficult to do so. That doesn't mean that they don't care; but that they need more time to process what they have gone through! This is also a time when many Veterans or Active Duty members take their own life due to these factors- known as the 22 a day. Make the time to say Hello to people that you meet. Be Kind to one another. Be generous when you can. Be helpful as you are able, even let a struggling parent with small children ahead of you in line at the grocery store- they will Bless you with a smile & a tear (most of us have been there in that situation). Say Please & Thank You. Ask how you can help someone (if you're willing to do so). Smile, Acknowledge, & Talk to the little people around you, for they will soon grow up-they WILL REMEMBER how you took the time to SEE THEM- even if you don't know them!!!! They just might be the ones that help you in the store getting something off of the high shelf, carrying groceries to your car, fixing your car, your tech person, banker, doctor, lawyer, etc... We don't always know the impact that we can have on another person; but know that in your action or inaction, you always do!!! Have a Safe and Blessed Season!
