January 31st @ 0800 there will be a ceremony at Barrancas National Cemetery on NAS Pensacola to remember and honor those Veterans (our service sisters and brothers) who were interred at Barrancas the previous 90 days. These Veterans were interred without the benefit of anyone who knew them at graveside. That could be any one of us-even one of the 22 a day! Please come and stand up for them this Thursday- let them not be forgotten!!!!! The service is about 40 minutes long- in which the various service members names, branch of service, era of service and rank (if known) are read. Full military honors are then given as a group, taps, 21 gun salute, and the folding of the flag, The Chaplain reads comfort to us all and we stand in silence remembering our lost service mates.
