It is our goal to help veterans complete the forms required to negotiate the Veterans Administration system in order that they may receive all the benefits they have earned and deserve by virtue of their military service.
Chapter Service Officers are available at the chapter home on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to render that service to veterans and their families. No appointment is necessary. We typically have 4 or more Service Officers on hand so wait times are minimal.
There's never a charge or contingency fee. No gimmick. This is a free service.
We are located at:
2265 No. Harbor City Blvd. (US 1) in Melbourne. Less than a mile South of Lake Washington Rd and less that a mile North of Aurora Rd... right next to the big orange.

Our staff of Chapter Service Officers receive annual certification and training from Department of Florida DAV staff in order to remain current and up to date on all laws, rules and regulations of the Veterans Administration relating to veterans benefits.
First time visitors to our office should bring all the paperwork they have on hand pertaining to their military service and current family status. These would include, but not be limited to:
- Discharge papers (DD-214)
- Copies from your service medical record. (for medical claims)
- Treatment records from private doctors and/or hospitals (for medical claims)
- Marriage license and spouse's social security number
- Divorce papers
- Children's birth certificates and social security numbers
It's better to bring more than you need than to show up without a required document. If there is any doubt in your mind about whether you should bring it or not - BRING IT. If you don't have all documentation - bring what you do have. We can help you obtain what you are missing.
