We had a great DAV/DAVA convention in Boise.
The host chapter did an excellent job of hosting.
Congratulations to Arnie on conducting the convention and getting a big job accomplished. We spent a couple of sessions going over the by-law changes and finally got them approved. A final draft will be made and then sent to national for approval. The department should soon be functioning under the new by-laws. Getting this much needed work done will define Arnie's legacy as department commander.
On a personal note my new guide dog Venture did an excellent job. He was a big hit and often when we arrived at the hospitality room in the morning he would be greeted before I was.
Chapter nine will be well represented for the next year. Both the department and DAVA will have several officers from our chapter.

The night of the banquet pictures were taken of the group. It was suggested Gary could put some up on the website. When they took a picture of me and Cora I told Gary just make the caption: "the second junior vice commander and her husband"
Once again it was a great convention and congratulations to all the newly elected officers.
