Billerica Chapter 47

Brownie Troop 85000 from Chelmsford, MA recently donated over 75 boxes of cookies to DAV Billerica Chapter 47 for distribution to hospitalized veterans at the Bedford VAMC. DAV Chapter 47  distributed the cookies to veterans at the local VA hospital.

The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial was dedicated on the National Mall in October. Keynote speaker was President Obama. Celebrity Chairman Gary Sinese also spoke at the event.

DAV 47 Comrades assemble beside their "Never Forget" float honoring fallen comrades. DAV 47 provided a marching Color Guard and 5 vehicles with Chapter 47 members at the 2013 Billerica Memorial Day Parade.

DAv Chapter 47 Officers are installed at DAV 47 headquarters in East Chelmsford, MA in May.

Commander Anita Reed presents a Certificate of Appreciation to Billerica Chapter 47 in recognition of Dedication and Support of the Veterans of Massachusetts. Accepting the award is Chapter 47 Treasurer and Executive Committee Member Bob Kinsman.

Comrades of DAV Billerica Chapter 47 volunteer each year to decorate more than 50 Veterans Memorial Squares and Monuments in Town.

Grand Marshal Bob Kinsman and Honorary Marshal Rico Nuttoli acknowledge the crowd at the 2015 Billerica Memorial Day Parade. Commander Kinsman and Adjutant Nuttoli later placed wreaths on the World War I and World War II Memorials on the Town Common.

DAV Billerica Chapter 47 members marched in the 2013 Billerica Memorial Day Parade. The detail included a Color Guard and a beautiful float titled "Never Forget" that honored our fallen comrades.

DAV Billerica 47 comrades attended the Silver Star Ceremony for Sgt. John Giasullo, Jr. at the State House. Sgt. Giasullo received the award for gallantry in action from Governor Patrick.
