Memorial Day allows us to remember our fallen heroes who have served our nation. It is because of their selfless contributions that missions are successful, wars are won, and our country continues to thrive in freedom. On Monday, May 27, AFSA representatives will participate in the National Memorial Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetery, and we hope that you will take time from your holiday activities to remember all who fought and died for our country who now lay in peace.
As a reminder, the National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor our fallen.
