June 11-12 2014 Capital City Chapter 3 traveled to the WTB (Warrior Transition Battalion) located at Ft Knox, Ky. Members from Chapter 3 organized a cookout for Ohio soldiers and their families. Everyone enjoyed the food played corn hole and homemade ice cream was made by the Chapter 3 members.
On the 12th, the Chapter 3 members were present for the annual Expo sponsored by the WTB. Several organizations serving veterans were present to explain what they are all about. The Chapter 3 members present were able to spend time with many of the soldiers presently assigned to the WTB answering questions explaining what the DAV is all about.
A good time spent meeting everyone.
