Thanks to our Commander Jim Kaster and past Commander Frank Williams they saved a piece of Chapter 3 history. They received a call from fellow member Merle Pratt one day when he heard there was still some Chapter 3 items at the Veterans Memorial, which is scheduled to be torn down. Jim and Frank were actually able to save many items, but the most important item was the original charter when Capital City Chapter 3 was started dated June 19, 1934.
