The Military Heroes Ball is a benefit dinner and gala to honor our veterans, raise awareness for their needs, and support Disabled American Veterans Capital City Chapter 3

Another load of Aluminum cans headed to the Recycling Center. The money received is used to help fund Chapter 3 Outreach program of helping the soldiers at the Warrior Transition Battalion located at Ft Knox, Kentucky

Helping Veterans

The above picture was taken at the main entrance to the VA Hospital located in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Chapter 3 members volunteered to play bingo with the veterans at the hospital. It is always a fun afternoon for everyone.

The president and member of the Columbus Vette Club, presented their donation to a few of the officers of Capital City Chapter 3.

Dana McKinney of West Portsmouth, Oh received a donation of a stairway lift from Chapter 3, complete with the installation of by Blake Widman and Chapter 3 Commander Tom Cunningham.
Dana, now going upstairs is now easier for Dana.

Dana McKinney received donations from Chapter 3 he did not expect. Chapter 3 Sr. vice Rodney Freeman, Adjutant, Jim Gunkelman and Commander, Tom Cunningham delivered a power lift chair, a power wheelchair and a power wheelchair carrier.

The Ft Knox Army Band was on hand at the Warrior Transition Battalion EXPO to provide entertainment to their fellow soldiers,families and visitors.

A semi-truck load of bottled water was donated to the Wounded Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft Knox, Ky

Volunteers from Chapter 3 manned the collection bucket at the Golden Corral Restaurant the weekend prior to the 12th also to make the fundraiser a success.

The Manager of Home Depot Elisabethtown Ky is presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Sr Vice Tom Cunningham of Capital City #3, Columbus Ohio. Over $750 in grilling equipment was donated to the Warrior Transition Battalion, Ft Kox Ky.

Chapter 3 members make homemade ice cream for hunters at the Jackson County WV hunting event for veterans

Pictured above on left is John Tepper DAV Chapter3 member/ Honor Flight volunteer with Jim Downing from the Honor Flight of Columbus. Chapter3 donated 82 umbrellas for use by the Veterans while on their Honor Flight trip to Washington DC.

Chapter 3 members volunteered again to be able to be in the parade downtown. The parade always has a large turnout.

Vincent is ready for the 3-day hunting trip for Veterans. Event was held at Ripley WV. He bagged a button buck.

Vincent was able to sight in his black powder rifle before headed out to hunt.
