Veterans Home: Vietnam evetn was successful over 250 people attended.
War Garden: Preparing for the Memorial Day event 27 May 2019
Bristol Veterans Council: Working on the Memorial Day ceremony and parade. 27 May 2019, starting at the North Burial Grounds 9:30am. Flag Day ceremonies Arm Forces Day 18 May.
SWOS speech: In progress. Commanding Officer Scott Robertson made Rear Admiral attended the chang of command ceremony, Captain Christopher Alexander is now CO of
SWOS.
Legislature: Talked about several bills. Taxes, Dishonorable discharge.
State DAV: The State DAV meets the second Tuesday of the month, 6PM at the American Legion Post 20 Legion Way, Cranston, RI. Working on the DAV State Convention 26-27 April, at the Crown Plaza, Warwick, RI.
Old Business: Talked about the Convention: Friday night meal $20.00 per person, Saturday lunch $10.00 per person, Saturday night dinner $20.00 per person, guests invited. Contact Adjutant Ginny Hanson to make reservations before 2 April 2019. 401-294-2434 or email.
New Business: Approved of funds for the DAV Convention Hospitality room, The DAV Van was going to be at the RI Veterans Home 30 April 9 to 3pm. 1st National Junior Vice Commander Donald Day is going to tour the Veterans Home on 26 April 2019. Nominations of new Officers will be held at the next meeting.
