READING OF COMMUNICATIONS: RI State DAV Convention material 17-18 April 2020 Opening day Little League baseball at King Philip Little League Park Bristol 25 April 9am.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: Veterans Home: In progress
War Garden: Depending on Virus for Memorial Day ceremony.
Bristol Veterans Council: In progress.
SWOS speech: Attended SWOS Navigation graduation.
Legislature: Several bills referring to the RI Veteran Home. Ginny Hanson testify before the Senate and the House.
State DAV: The State DAV meets the second Tuesday of the month, 6PM at the American Legion Post 20 Legion Way, Cranston, RI. This months meeting was all about the RI State Convention 17-18 April 2020

OLD BUSINESS: A reminder: Membership dues for National is $300.00 per member for life. As of January Veteran with receiving disability will be able to shop at the commissary. If you are eligible go to the pass office outside of gate one bring your DD214, ID card vehicle information and they will give you a pass to get to the NEX/Commissary.
CONVENTION: If you are planing to go to the convention at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Warwick, RI please let me know. For a room $103 a day plus tax, meals are $20 a person Friday night and $20 a person for Saturday night. Saturday lunch $10 a person. I hope you will come, please call me Ginny 294-2434.
Our VIP for our convention is Cody VanBoxel, Director of Human Services for the DAV National.
New Business: The boot camp breakfast is canceled because of the Virus. Employee of the Year for the RI Veterans Home has been selected. Jennifer Jones, 30 year employee. There were 8 Applications.

Good of the Order: The next meeting is Tuesday April 14, 2020, 2PM Veterans Home pending Virus.
Memorial Ceremony: Stand and face the east with caps on. One minute of silence for our comrades.
Ceremony performed by our CDR.
Closing ceremony: Chaplin, closing prayer, salute to the flag, Retire the colors. Close the bible and take down the American Flag.
