Starting with our May meeting, the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 11, Florence, will no longer be meeting at Horne’s Country Buffet. After years of moving around, we have been blessed with a new permanent home. West Florence Baptist Church has an un-used building on their property that they have graciously offered to let us use for as long as we need it. It was their fellowship hall.
Besides being a bigger and permanent home, it has a large kitchen and a separate meeting room for a possible DAV Auxiliary Unit. We encourage you to bring your spouse to the next meeting even if he/she is not interested in being in an Auxiliary.
We still meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 11:00 am. Our next meeting will be at the new location May 12, 2012. The address is 3354 Hoffmeyer Rd, Florence. It is approximately 1 mile west of the I-95 overpass on the left hand side. Please go in through the doors located under the covered walkway.
