Sycamore Shoals Monument

In Sept 1780, the Overmountain Men, who fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain, mustered at Sycamore Shoals around Fort Watauga. In 1909, the Daughters of the American Revolution placed a monument near the site of the fort.
