The VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System is hosting a Welcome event for Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn Veterans. The event will be a community outreach for ALL Veterans and their families on Saturday July 13, 2013 from 10:00 a. m. until 3:00 p.m. The purpose of this event is to provide returning Veterans, as well as Veteran of all eras, information on Veteran's benefits, employment opportunities, educational programs, and community resources. The event also offers Veterans an opportunity to connect with their peers and create important social networks through a variety of fun activities for the Veterans and their families. VA plan to provide music, food, games, and prizes at the Welcome Home celebration at the National Guard Armory 1100 Vo-Tech Drive, Weslaco, Texas, which is generously serving as the event host
