Here is the information we gathered at the Veterans Day Recreational Fair at Pocahontas State Park to Help inform physically disabled veterans in areas of adaptive recreational and vehicular conversion equipment. (wheelchairs) There were no opportunities present for ambulatory disabilities. I would like to provide copies of this information to veterans at VA hospitals or maybe all hospitals in the area with the DAV50 heading. This will inform the community that we exist, are here to help disabled vets and will most likely increase our membership, visibility, volunteerism and donations. We desperately need more members (maybe some nonmembers or nonvets) to volunteer help with even our current outreach responsibilities. The Veterans Day Recreational Fair at Pocahontas State Park will now be held every year, most likely multiple times. I am currently working with the organizer of this event to expand as I see great possibilities in the future. If we help in any way then we will be listed as sponsors at future events.
