The following information I hope will assist you and yours in planning to attend the department convention, on the dates and location shown above. The official dates are 3 thru 5 May 2015, however some members may arrive on Friday 1 May or Saturday 2 May 2015, room rates will be different (see below) for any days other than 3, 4 and 5 May 2015, be sure and inquire with the reservation clerk.
Palace Station Hotel & Casino (2411 West Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102), offers 575 luxury tower rooms, all with a 42 inch plasma television and complimentary high speed internet (hardwired and wireless), and 445 newly remodeled courtyard guestrooms (are not suitable for handicap members with wheelchairs or scooters). Also included fitness room, two heated pools, and many eatery’s both casual and semi-formal. Free shuttle service to and from McCarran Airport and the Las Vegas Strip, free covered parking.
First and foremost when you phone in your reservation to 1-800-634-3101, you MUST identify yourself as attending the DAV Dept. of Nevada 2015 Annual Meeting and refer to Group Code PCIDAV5 or https://rooms.sclv.com/cgi-bin/lansaweb?PROCFUN+RN+RESNET+PAL+funcparms+UP%28A2560%29;;PCIDAV5;?/ Rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out for guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time the reservation is made. In order to receive the discounted group room rate a credit card must be posted and will be charged one (1) night room and tax. Reservations Cut Off 1 April 2015.
Courtyard Rooms: are as follows:
Friday & Saturday (1 & 2 May) $74.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax, per day ---- Sun, Mon, Tue (3, 4, & 5 May) $27.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax, per day.
Again Courtyard Rooms are not suitable for handicap members with wheelchairs or scooters.
Tower Rooms are as follows:
Friday and Saturday (1 & 2 May) $89.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax per day --- Sun, Mon, Tues ( 3, 4, & 5 May) $37.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax per day
Tower Petite Suites are as follows::
Friday and Saturday 1 & 2 May) $109.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax per day --- Sun, Mon, Tues, (3, 4, & 5 May) $57.00 + $12.99 Hotel Svc Fee and 12% Room Tax per day.
A 72 hour notice is required to cancel a room without penalty. A $100.00 security deposit is required either by credit card or cash upon check-in.
Additional information will be forwarded to all Commander and Adjutants as it is finalized.
