 Transportation Network

Shuttle Bus schedule information.  Between Vancouver VA Clinic and Portland VA Hospital can be found at the information desk.  Please be aware patient parking at PVAMC can be limited.
DAV Veterans’ Transportation Network:
Portland VAMC Transportation Office
Vans from the local Portland/Vancouver area are dispatched from the Portland VAMC.  To get transportation, call AT LEAST 72 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT, to schedule a pick-up.
Vancouver:  360-696-4061 Ext 57804
Toll Free:  1-800-949-1004 Ext 57804
Direct Line:  503-721-7804
Please note that our office has large call volume during the day.
If you receive a busy signal please call again.
After hours calls will be left on answering machine, leave your name, phone number, pick-up city, last 4 of your SSN and the date/time of your appointment.  The dispatcher will call to verify your pick-up time.  Because demand exceeds capacity, the earlier you call before your appointment, the better your odds of getting a ride when you need it.
The local Portland shuttle serves the area within 25 miles of the Portland VAMC.  There are plans to increase local Portland coverage to include service to the Portland area VA Clinics in the future.
We ask you to remember that our vans drivers are VOLUNTEERS, and as such, should be treated with courtesy, respect and gratitude.  These volunteers dedicate many hours each week to help you get to
your medical appointments.
Vans run 5 days a week to the Portland VAMC from various towns in Oregon and Southwest Washington.  Together, they log over 450,000 miles and carry over 24,000 veterans each year.
Special Transportation Needs:
For wheel chair patients and those needing assistance for transportation to Portland VAMC call the travel office at.

Volunteer Information:
We can also use NEW volunteer drivers.  A valid drivers license, good driving record and a medical pre screening are required. Van drivers do not receive payment for the services they provide either part or full-time.  If you’re interested in becoming a van driver, contact Portland VAMC Volunteer Services at 503-273-5019.
