The Disabled American Veterans is an organization of disabled veterans who are focused on building better lives for disabled veterans and their families. Through a wide network of state-level Departments and local Chapters, DAV extends its mission of hope to communities where disabled veterans and their families live. DAV services include help with disability compensation, VA pension, death benefits, VA medical care, Social Security disability benefits, veterans' job programs, and much, much more. Freedom is not free.

Vet Centers provide individual, group and family counseling to all veterans who served in any combat zone. Services are also available for their family members. Veterans have earned these benefits through their combat service and all are provided at no cost to the veteran or family
